Little by little, the breeze is getting colder and colder, telling us that summer is ending. Today, on September 22, we can say that fall is officially here. I have experienced this dramatic outdoor change that comes in the fall 11 times since I moved to the U.S.
I grew up in a place where the leaves on the trees don’t change their colors, and don’t fall and cover the ground. I didn’t witness people dressing with layers, mixing textures, and changing out their cotton fabric for wool and jersey. All these changes in fall are so beautiful!
September for me is very special, as it’s the beginning of my favorite season. This is the month I set new goals, take on new challenges, and start on new projects – kind of like the way people start the New Year with resolutions. This is also the time to give myself a lot of love and feel extra happy. I pamper myself by doing the things I absolutely love and that make me feel great. To brighten my fall days, here are some of my must haves for fall:
Hats
I have a fascination with hats, and I can say I am building a great collection. I wear hats in honor of my late grandpa (who was almost never seen without his wide brimmed hats), and who was a great influence in my life. I am in love with these two hats:
A fedora hat in velvety felted wool, one in black and one in oatmeal.
Knee high boots
What can I say about these beautiful accessories? They can be worn with anything, as they are so sexy and are a basic piece essential in any closet. They make me feel amazing!
Boots
These ankle boots were love at first sight. I like to pair them with dresses and jeans.
Oversize Jacket
I like to add a little bit of masculinity to some of my looks, so for this season, I am using this coat in wool from Zara.
Bag
And… this bag can bring some light to those gray days.
Thank you for reading.

I love hats too. My Dad was always wearing his fishing hat. It’s hard to find an hat that will stay on very curly hair. The ‘boing; always pushes them off.
Thank you for sharing. Maybe I’ll do a post on hats for curly hair!
I love this post, Yohanna! I love the coat from Zara. And, I also love your beautiful face!
