The 58th Grammys Awards are almost here. This most important night for music is airing this coming Monday Feb. 15. We have been hearing predictions on who will win vs who should win and who will be performing. Here are some of the artists that I expect to perform and some of the artists who are creating controversy among the music experts.
Even though my BFF Adele missed the deadline for a nomination this year, she’ll be performing… ‘ya hello…’ and of course I’ll be watching. She asked me to watch because she gets really nervous every time she does live television.
Rihanna will be performing at the 58th Grammys Awards this year as well. Many will be watching, especially due to her new album ANTI which has the critics confused.
Taylor Swift has six nominations! One of them is for “Record of the Year” for her album 1989. This record was best-selling album of the year in 2014 and 2015. RollingStone expert Isquith said, “Black Space was one hit among many on her record 1989, and could go against her.” What do you guys think? Could she win this Grammy? Her nominations are: Album of the Year, 1989, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Duo, and Best Pop Vocal Album, 1989.
Justin Bieber, who is nominated for “Best Dance Recording” for “Where Are U Now”, will be collaborating onstage with Diplo and Skrillex to perform Where Are U Now. Do you think he will finally win his first Grammy? Check out this video and tell me what you think.
The Weeknd has six nominations this year as well. Do you think the people that listen to his music have the mind of an 80 year old? Mello from RollingStone thinks so! Weeknd’s nominations are for: Record Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Album Of The Year, Best R&B Performance, Best R&B Song, and Best Urban Contemporary Album.
